Tip 8: Bath time suggestion

After he was born, it took me many months to ascertain that Hein-Chris was indeed dreadfully sensitive to typical baby body washes and body lotions - in particular their smell and viscosity. This after watching him squirm and scream and fuss during every bath he took. Bathing is an activity your neurotypical baby relishes - for Hein-Chris it was torture. His clinic sister, Sr Liza Harkess, recommended I use odourless Aqueous Cream as soap (i.e., lather his entire body with cream and rinse it off gently) and Eucerin AtoControl Body Lotion to moisturize his face and body afterwards. It worked beautifully. The Aqueous Cream did not bother Hein-Chris in the least, and the non-fatty, odourless AtoControl Body Lotion went on without tears. See links to our bath time hero's below:
